User Experience Architect, UI/UX Designer with over 20 years experience. I work for Fortune 500 companies in a variety of fields, including: Finance, Health Care, Insurance, IT, Retail and Pharmaceutical. I began my career as a back end coder, then migrated to front end design. My current skillset includes: Sketch, Figma, Axure RP, Adobe XD, Invision, Zeppelin, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript. My main area of expertise is taking verbal or written requirements, evaluating an existing application or website, and delivering wireframes, prototypes, process flows, sitemaps, full color click through comps and fully designed and coded web pages.

Converted business concepts (either from a formal document or informal JAD sessions) into user journeys, use cases, wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flow diagrams, POC and other deliverables. Developed interactions and visual designs for mobile that were engaging and simple to use. Collaborated with cross-functional teams throughout the design process. After the initial Proof of Concept, participated in the product design process, through to the complete product life cycle (development, test). Developed a Figma Design System using patterns and styles that were informed from the AHS corporate aesthetic. Worked alongside managers to implement design changes to the AHS.com Optimizely CMS. Was hands on in utilizing the Optimizely UI to update layout, text and image changes to the AHS consumer facing website.

IBM

Lead User Experience Designer/Architect for the elite IBM Blue Group Team. Worked with internal IBM stakeholders across the globe, in a variety of business categories, including IT, finance, medical, and business. Responsible for working closely with IBM clientele to review/interpret/establish their technical requirements, both web based and application based, and turning those into use cases, wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flow diagrams and other deliverables. Responsible for working within the established IBM corporate aesthetic and branding guidelines, including Northstar and Carbon. Worked independently and within agile groups. Responsible for estimating scope of projects on a case by case basis and then adhering to a tight schedule to bring those projects to completion within budget, all while overseeing the progress of a team of designers, and developers. Team members were often seated in different countries around the world, so also responsible for critical time management when balancing meetings that accommodated schedules from diverse locations. Constantly enrolled in IBM higher learning for User Experience Design, Design thinking, and skills evaluation. Consistently ranked as one of IBM’s top 10 UX Architects for the North American teams. Received numerous design awards and badges over the years for exemplary achievement in elevating IBM’s extremely high design standards.

UI/UX designer-information architect for the Affinityplan.org Member Portal website redesign. Provided full color comps and working clickthrough templates with Invision, Sketch and Axure. UI/UX designer-information architect for a Sharepoint intranet website redesign. The look and feel of Coned website needed a full update. I provided wireframe templates and html5/CSS3 code for the new page designs. I worked hand in hand with managers and content creators, implementing their suggestions. I also oversaw the development team to help ensure my designs and framework was implemented correctly, specifically with regards to navigation and page layout. I Provided UI standards for future expansion with detailed instructions. Provided Weekly presentations of UI Blueprints within a large team environment.

UI/UX designer-information architect for IBM BPM Applications. Developed rapid prototyping for application layout, functionality testing, look and feel, user response, thorough interactive research. Responsible for all aspects of application architecture, layout, interactivity, design standards. Worked closely with Product owners to translate requirements and then provided rapid turnaround of interactive prototypes. Oversaw implementation of CSS/javascript/jquery into IBM BPM coaches during development and deployment. Provided UI standards for future applications with detailed instructions for future programmers to follow. All work performed in an Agile environment with DSU. Provided Weekly presentations of UI Blueprints within a large team environment. Acquired approvals from BA’s, SA’s and Product Owners and then disseminated delivery instructions and details to development team both locally and abroad in India.

Reviewed prior outdated Sharepoint 2007 Intranet Portal. Developed a complete ground up re-design for their new 2010 portal, with new templates, navigation, typography, layout, and site architecture. Also assigned to provide insight into JC3 portal, which had been stalled due to three prior designers who had failed to address complex multi-layered navigation issues. I addressed the project manager’s concerns with a new UI/UX design was awarded the project. I then designed a new user interface that applied all of the new ideas I presented into a functioning HTML model and supporting Visio, which incorporated all elements detailed in their JC3 Business Requirements Doc. The project is now successfully underway. Finally, I also assisted with the Sharepoint 2010 team, helping to eliminate any bugs or issues with implementing and updating the new design.

Developed working html prototypes from specification provided by BA’s, worked closely with doctors, developers and project managers to gather data and translate requirements into wireframes. Re-design of corporate online and Intranet presence from ground up. Responsible for wireframe mock ups, new css standards creation and branding, information architecture. Once concepts approved by upper management through verbal and digital presentation, responsible for html, css, javascript, flash, ajax, rss, xml programming and implementation. Worked closely with project management team in incorporating Optimum Lightpath’s existing corporate aesthetic with new designs and concepts, corporate testimonial videos and more. CMS, Dreamweaver, CS4, Sharepoint., and BEA Weblogic. Also conceptualized an internal e-commerce platform for the customer retention call center. Web portal designed to alleviate congestion to the department by offsetting call volume to the web with a database of customer inquiries, and options. Controlled all phases of design and development utilizing entire skillset. Worked in tandem with developers to migrate intranet to new system.

Re-designed existing website platform, upgraded design to meet web 2.0 standards. Worked closely with management team to implement their ideas both verbal and wireframe concepts, and incorporated CSS design strategies to streamline GUI and overall workflow of layout. Conducted usability testing within bank to ensure quality control. Worked within company corporate aesthetic to ensure consistency throughout site.
